Kindertransportees

A few years ago, I traveled to UConn to research the Kindertransport for my book, Kindertransport-A Child's Journey. I had the honor of interviewing 3 Kindertransportees and hearing their stories. One was Rita Kaplan. Just this week, Ms. Kaplan found my number in her records and called just to check on me and make sure I was not in an area of TX where the hurricane had hit. I cannot express how sweet and enlightening speaking to her was. Truly one of the most beautiful people I have met. I must get to Boston soon to chat with her again in person.
